Renovation Celebration, Saturday, October 17, 2009
Wickenburg Children’s cultural Organization (WCO) invited all to celebrate the Garcia Little Red Schoolhouse (LRSH) renovations made, thanks to Wellik Foundation Grants and many donors and supporters who were recognized. There was an old time Ice Cream Social with ice cream sponsored by Chaparral Ice Cream Parlor; and musical performances, including Morristown School students on violin.  WCO seeded the Morristown program with two semesters of funding.  Morristown was so impressed with the successes from the program that they wrote and received a grant which will extend the instruction for five years.  WCO continues to provide their violins.

The basement has been completely remodeled to expand its usefulness and safety.  The roof has been replaced for safety and is now similar to the other period correct roofs on Tegner Street.  Floors on the main floor have been cared for and the last project in the works is the Front doors which will be complete in the very near future.
